To test how different teaching methods affected students’ knowledge there are three statistics modules where the same material was taught. For one module the instructor beat anyone who asked bad questions or got questions wrong (punish). Another group was encouraged to discuss things that they found difficult and gave anyone working hard a nice treat (reward). The last group was not punished or rewarded for their efforts (indifferent). Grades were recorded (percentage). The data are in the file Teach.sav. Post results and explain your findings based on the hypotheses that (1) rewards result in better exam scores than punishment or indifference; and (2) indifference will lead to significantly better exam results than punishment.
