es for the exams, the Articles’ Review, and the Course Project are computed on a percentage
is: 90% = A, 80%=B, 70% = C, etc. The lowest exam score will be dropped. Grade for the
course is computed on the same percentage basis but with 400 points maximum. Thus: 93% to
100% A, 90% -92%= A-, 87% -89% = B+, 83% -86% = B, 80% – 82%= B-, 77% -79% = C+,
73% -76%= C, 70% – 72% = C-, 67-69% = D+, 60% -66% = D, and 0-58% F. If a student is
on the borderline when final course grades are calculated (e.g., 89.4%) there must be specific
reasons to push the student to a higher grade-for example, perfect attendance, decent participation
in class, improvement in work performance over the semester, and displaying good manners in
class.
