FM008: Strategic Planning Process
Competency Discussion
Discussion Topic
For your Competency Discussion, consider a healthcare organization with which you are familiar and reflect on its strategic planning process. Then think about how the organization met or did not meet the goals and objectives for patients, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders. Finally, reflect on how you might improve the strategic planning process to be more effective.
To begin this Competency and meet your required engagement, post in the Discussion area a brief description of the strategic planning process utilized at a healthcare organization with which you are familiar. Then, explain how the organization met or did not meet the goals and objectives for patients, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders. Finally, explain how you might improve the strategic planning process to be more effective.
