Length: Your essay must contain an introductory paragraph, two – three body paragraphs, and a
concluding paragraph.
1. Your introduction must be at least 5 sentences long.
2. You are to state in your thesis statement what you are comparing and contrasting. Your thesis
statement must also be the last sentence of Paragraph 1, and will be graded accordingly.
PLEASE: BOLD the thesis statement.
3. If you choose the Point-by-Point organizational mode, you will compose 3 body paragraphs; each
of the body paragraphs must have at least 8 – 12 sentences. If you choose the Subject-by-Subject
organizational mode, you will compose 2 body paragraphs; each of your body paragraphs should
be at least 12 – 18 sentences. PLEASE: BOLD your topic sentences in your body paragraphs.
Remember, your topic sentences don’t have to be the first sentence of your body paragraphs;
however, if you don’t bold your topic sentences, your first sentence of your body paragraphs will
be treated as your topic sentence.
Also, make sure your topic sentences are either compound or complex sentence types.
Avoid simple sentences for your topic sentences.

Istanbul and Cancun have beautiful nature. In Istanbul, there are many jungles
that contain many long trees. Also, the sea in Istanbul is amazing. I went on a jungle
cruise In Istanbul it was a great experience. As well In Cancun, their jungles are very
big. I also went on a jungle cruise in Cancun. The sea has a light blue color that was
very beautiful. The beach In Istanbul was extraordinary.
I visited many countries in my life. Cancun and Istanbul were my favorite. These two
vacations were a unique experience. I hope to visit them again soon. Both countries
had very different things which is a good thing for me so I can experience new
things at the same time they have similarities even if they are on different
continents.
