SOC 326 Arizona State Violence against Black Women by the Police Discussion

The introduction of your paper will introduce the topic and the research questions to the reader. Tell the reader WHAT your questions are and WHY we should be interested in these questions. This is the part where you hook the reader to your paper. Make it interesting! If you have hypotheses/expectations about your results, the introduction is a good place to add that as well. The introduction will be 2 – 3 pages, double spaced Times New Roman.

Literature Review

The literature review is an overview of the topic of your interest. The overview will be based on other significant and relevant academic papers. You may have to summarize other people’s work but a review should eventually lead to your own position about the topic. This submission will have in-paper citations and a bibliography. Depending on your topic, your literature review will be 3-5 pages, double spaced Times New Roman. Do not include all the papers that appear in your search. Rather, choose papers that seem relevant and useful to your topic.

Some of you have decided to conduct interviews or surveys. If you intend to conduct interviews or surveys, submit the questionnaire that you intend to use. For those of you who intend to conduct a content analysis of social media etc, write a paragraph about how you intend to do that. What will you search for, what are you looking for? There is no page limit for this section. But, your questionnaire should have questions under different topics – rapport-building questions, demographic questions, questions about the concept that you are interested.

Please let me know if you have any doubts.
