Investigate other services for women, children, and infants.
Visit an organization or center that services vulnerable women, children, and/or infants (can be done virtually or by telephone call). Talk to a worker at the chosen center to find out who they service, what the particular needs of the group are, and what resources they provide for the vulnerable population. Write up a report on where you went, who you spoke to, and what you discovered.

Based on the scenario event that you selected last week, research women, children and infants that are in vulnerable groups. Identify what elements of the event increased their risk, what specific needs they have, what resources can address those needs, and what long term effects the event has on their vulnerability. Propose a solution to assist the women, children, and infants using currently available or new resources.

Visit a homeless shelter, church that houses or feeds the homeless particularly during adverse weather conditions, or a soup kitchen that services the poor and/or homeless. Learn about who they serve, what they do, and what resources are available. Write up the report and be prepared to share.

Investigation of health concerns for homeless populations. Use the Homeless health fact sheet (in Important Documents) to begin your research. Design an information product for organizations that want to provide health services or preventive health services to homeless populations. You will need to find out why they are considered vulnerable, what major health needs they have, and what resources are already available.
