Project guideline
The statistical project will be based on data types, analysis,
graphing, and summarizing the data. In your statistical
project, you need to address the following. (Please note that
you should use APA style).
1. You need to have a front page (title page) which should
include the following:
● The title of your project.
● Then you need to write the following:
This project summit to Dr. Maryam Alghafli as a project
for STAT101.
● Your names and Students Id are as follows:
The project is prepared by:
1- First student and ID.
2- Second student and ID.
3- Then at the end of the page, you should write
the summited date.
2. Short abstract of the project. The abstract must be
between 100 to 120 words. In the abstract, you need to
briefly introduce the main idea of your project and the
final result. For example:
Data x was collected by … in order to study the effect of
x on y. This project studies the relationship between x
and y and provides…. From the result, we conclude
that…
3. Then, the project must include a statistical summary of
the data (mean, median, and standard deviation). These
statistics must be present in a table. The table must be
titled and a piece of short information must be given.
For example:
For numerical data:

where SD stands for the standard deviation.
4. The project must include different graphs, as follows:
● Each graph should be a label with the title and the main
information. (The brief information must be listed under
the graph). This information describes what the graph
present and what are the used variables.
● Then, based on your own words, you need to interpret
the graph and what can it tell us about the data.
● The graphs should be two parts: the first graph
should describe the variables in the data.
● The graphs must also present the relationship
between the variables using a scatter plot. For this,
you need to define the dependent and
independent variables and how they are related.
Also, you must provide the correlation coefficient
and explain it.
● You must include a description of the distribution
of the data, such as symmetry or skewness.
● You need to describe the variability of your data.
● You need to use Box and Whisker plot and present
its 5 values (these values must be computed and
presented in a table and on the graph as well).
● Each graph must be explained efficiently.
For graphing categorical data, you should present
all your interested variables and you should also
compare the variables in your data following the
explained way as learned during this course. You
also need to explain the data efficiently.
Then write your conclusion.
5. All references should be listed at the end of the project.
6. The submission date is 02-03-2022.
