This week we have learned about the economic impact of globalization.  According to World Systems Theory, the world reflects countries of various social class hierarchies.  Countries in the Core often rely on countries in the Semi-periphery or periphery for cheap materials and labor, so they can provide cheaper goods for countries in the Core.  Write a  paper on the following prompt.

Then discuss, according to Conflict theory, how socially responsible Apple is, using examples when appropriate.  If you feel Apple should change, offer suggestions for how Apple can improve or how society can respond.  If you feel Apple cannot or should not change, explain why and offer suggestions for how changes in the future might change this.  Note, Apple (and corporate America) received a major corporate tax break which has put millions of money into the company.
